احداث مثيرة ومذهلة ، وعالم غريب ومختلف اخترعه جورج ر ر مارتن، في سلسلة رواياته أغنية الجليد والنار، اللى تحولت للمسلسل الأشهر في تاريخ الدراما Game of Thrones لكن ناس كتير ما تعرفش إن كتير من الأحداث اللى حصلت في المسلسل هي في الأساس مستوحاة من عالم وتاريخ الحقيقة، وأحداث وقعت بالفعل في تاريخ العصور الوسطى في أوروبا، زي حرب الوردتين في إنجلترا، أو اجتياح المغول لشرق أوروبا، ومحاولات العرب لفتح القسطنطينية في العصر الأموي..
حتى السور العظيم أو الجدار في جيم اوف ثرونز، هو بشكل رئيسي مستوحى من جدار هارديان في أقصى شمال إنجلترا..
